Statement of Primary Purpose
To serve as the part-time floating Administrative Assistant for the Division of Teaching and Learning Support. Primary job functions will include assisting with recurrent administrative needs, and supporting the Division as new projects are undertaken.
Part Time, nonexempt, not to exceed 16 hours per week unless approved.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Provide support to Division members while maintaining an open, friendly, and helpful environment.
Adhere to FERPA regulations; maintain integrity and confidentiality of all data.
Work with computer programs and software (specifically the Google suite).
Perform data entry with the College LMS, student retention software, tutoring platform, library databases and other specialty software within the Division.
Assist staff, instructors and students with records, paperwork, equipment and other projects when needed.
Create support documentation and develop procedural guides for new processes implemented in the Division.
Compile information from around the Division to produce a number of publications.
Assist in maintaining college websites using Drupal
Have flexibility to assist with various tasks as assigned by members of the Division.
Process divisional purchasing requests.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED: High School Diploma/GED 1-year experience in clerical related field required
PREFERRED: Associate's Degree; experience in academic environment
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of computer systems, office-related software, all office equipment; good communication and people skills
Ability to lift files and boxes or assist with equipment as required (20-30 lbs)
Working Conditions and Environment
Office environment, classrooms, labs; attend meetings and conferences as needed.
Computer systems, software, all office related equipment (copier, fax, telephone systems, calculator, etc.); and classroom audiovisual equipment.
